How to clean and initialize RPU

1. Delete the old backup directory and its contents. The backup directory is located at x/eclipse/jre.601bkup, where x is the installation directory of the product.
2. In a DOS window, CD to .
   Typically, C:\Program Files\IBM\Rational\SDP\6.0
   
3. type:
   updater\eclipse\rpu.exe -init -nosplash
4. type:
   updater\eclipse\rpu.exe #
5. then proceed as usual.
